in Scareware Rogues

The Sunbelt Blog reports a new rogue program, eAntivirusPro.

eAntivirusPro is a new clone of Antivirus XP 2008 rogue security product.
AntiMalware 2009 is yet another clone of Antivirus XP 2008 rogue security product.
ekerberos is another rogue security product from Innovagest 2000.

I checked out Innovagest2000.com, don’t try this at home.

On the site they advertise:
alfacleaner.com
anti-virus-pro.com
spydeface.com
system-defender.com

Clicking on the picture for System Defender brought up this warning:

324 threats and viruses found on a clean machine, yeah right…
This is the kind of ‘scareware’ Microsoft and Washington State’s AG has filed suit against.

Does Innovagest 2000 even have history of successes? Does it even have customers? Does this company even exsist?! Or is it ran by a hacker wanting money? The company doesint even have their own package. Instead its some stupid regisrty code….this company has poor quality in customers…i laugh if they even HAVE any customers. This is what should be reported to the law.

Thanks for this articles. This is exactly what happened to me and the screenshots are identical to what I was presented with today. Took me two hours of searching on the net (while the antivirus guard of Avira was flashing at each of my movements, so much that my pc almost froze at some point due to lack of memory) and some heavy software to remove them (Combofix and Malwarebyte).
Btw, if anyone is interested, found this at the whois request. Some nifty info to be found…So these guys are in Spain?
