Spam from China on the rise

Recently I have seen a large increase in spam from China, using one’s own spoofed email address as sender.

“If you are unable to see the message below, click here to view.”

“To contact us with an issue or suggestion, please visit our site.”

All links I investigated led to sites pushing POWER Gain male enhancement products.

“You are receiving this e-mail because you have subscribed to product updates.

If you want to unsubscribe from (whatever company-cb), please visit subscription center and provide your address in the Unsubscribe field.”

Of course that is exactly what you should not do, the link contains your email address and trying to unsubscribe will just inform the spammers that your email address is working.

Countless domains are sending the spam from,
IP Address: 218.61.7.30
Reverse IP: 634 other sites hosted on this server.
IP Location China – Liaoning – Dalian – Cncgroup Liaoning Province Network

McAfee Avert Labs has released the first of a new monthly publication with information on current spam trends and campaigns.
