Interesting sleuthing by Mark, Technical Fellow in the Platform and Services Division at Microsoft.
While I long for the day when I no longer experience the effects of buggy software, there’s something rewarding about solving my own troubleshooting cases. In the process, I often come up with new techniques to add to my bag of tricks and to share with you in my “Case of the Unexplained…†presentations and blog posts. The other day I successfully closed an especially interesting case that opened when Internet Explorer (IE) crashed as I was reading a web page:

Normally I don’t like or want toolbars, especially if they come bundled: http://certifiedbug.com/blog/tag/toolbar/
Joe Wilcox doesn’t like them either so my curiosity was tweaked when I saw he wrote a good review of the “Bing Bar.”
Article at Beta News “Microsoft’s Bing Bar takes the clutter and complexity out of browser toolbars”
I’ve been taking the Bing Bar for a whirl and so far I like what I see.
IE Blog informs that the AVG Security Toolbar team released a new version of their toolbar with a more predictable user experience and doing a better job of allowing users to stay in control of their browser.
Granted it’s good that AVG is following the guidelines for add-on developers, however it is still yet another toolbar, how many do people need?
If you decide to install the toolbar as always please read the EULA first.
